Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Pulaski to Host Women’s Health Expo

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System (STRHS) Pulaski is proud to announce its upcoming Women’s Health Expo, a free community event focused on education, prevention, and overall wellness for women of all ages.

The event will take place on Thursday, May 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Pulaski Recreation Center, located at 333 E. College St., Pulaski, TN. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Women’s Health Expo will feature a variety of health resources, screenings, and educational opportunities designed to empower women to take charge of their health. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with local providers & resources to learn more about:

·       Breast & Cervical Cancers

·       Mammograms & Bone Density

·       Nutrition & Physical Activity

·       Foot & Ankle Health

·       Nicotine Cessation

·       Sleep Disorders

·       Hormones & Weight Loss

·       Primary Care for Women

·       Mental Health

·       Pelvic Floor Therapy

·       Women’s Safety

In addition, free lab work will be available during the event. Participants are encouraged to fast prior to attending for the most accurate results.

The expo will also include two special presentations from healthcare professionals:

·       8:30 a.m. – Andrea VanFleet of Southern Tennessee Urology will present on Bladder Control

·       9:15 a.m. – Dr. Courtney McKeown, General Surgeon with Columbia Surgical Partners, will present on Breast Cancer & Breast Preservation

“This event is a wonderful opportunity for women in our community to access valuable health information, connect with local providers, and take proactive steps toward better health,” said Laura Lee Cox, Growth & Outreach Director at STRHS Pulaski. “We are proud to offer this free resource and encourage all women to attend.”
