Urologists Join Southern Tennessee Regional Health System

September 27, 2017

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System officials announce the addition of urologist, Dr. Kelly C. Baldwin to the medical staffs at both Lawrenceburg and Pulaski locations.  Dr. Baldwin will be opening Southern Tennessee Urology this fall with an office in both towns.

“We have wanted to provide the community with urological services and availability for quite some time.” said Pulaski hospital CEO, Jim Edmondson.  “Residents in Lawrence, Giles, and surrounding counties have had to travel for this particular specialty and it is so nice to be able to have an urologist in our own communities now. “

Dr. Baldwin received his undergraduate degree from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island and he spent one year at Harvard University Extension School in Cambridge, Massachusetts participating in a pre-medical program.  He received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia Pennsylvania where he also completed his medical internship.  Dr. Baldwin completed his general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and then his urologic surgery residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he also served as chief resident.

Edmondson said Dr. Baldwin indicated opportunity, as a result of need as his primary reason for opening an office in Lawrenceburg and Pulaski.  There has not ever been full time urologic services offered serving both communities and this service will provide the residents in the area with convenience and quality care.  Dr. Baldwin’s services include but are not limited to urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, interstitial cystitis, prostatitis, enlarged prostate, kidney stones, sexual dysfunction (male and female), vasectomy, and more.

Mr. Edmondson concluded by saying the addition of an urologist solidifies the hospitals mission of making communities healthier. Southern Tennessee Urology will be located at 190 Prosser Road in Lawrenceburg and 1275 E. College St. in Pulaski.  For additional information call 931-766-3732.Southern Tennessee Regional Health System officials announce the addition of urologist, Dr. Kelly C.
