Hospital Welcomes New Cardiologist

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System officials announce the addition of cardiologist, Dr. John P. Kristofich to the medical teams in Lawrenceburg and Pulaski.  Dr. Kristofich is opening Southern Tennessee Heart in Lawrenceburg and Pulaski this month.

 “We are so excited to have Dr. Kristofich join our hospital family”, said STRHS Pulaski CEO, Jim Edmondson.  “Fridays have long been absent of cardiology coverage and so Dr. Kristofich will be a welcome addition.  The staff absolutely loved him when we toured the hospital.  He’s one of the most personable doctors I have ever met.”

Dr. Kristofich graduated magna cum laude from Manhatten College in Riverdale, New York and received his medical degree from the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine and Dentistry in Piscataway, New Jersey.   He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.  Dr. Kristofich is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and is also Board Certified in CV Medicine.  He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Medical Association.

Kristofich has more than twenty years of experience of treating heart disease, such as congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders and heart failure.
